Capcom Co., Ltd. (Capcom) today announced that multiplatform title Resident Evil Village Gold Edition<\/em> is scheduled to be released on October 28, 2022.<\/p>\n\n

The Resident Evil<\/em> franchise features survival horror games in which players utilize a variety of weapons and other items to escape terrifying situations. Cumulative shipments of the games in the series now exceed 125 million units*1 since the first title debuted in 1996. Now, more than 25 years later, continuous support from the passionate fan base across the globe makes it Capcom\u2019s flagship game series.<\/p>\n\n

Resident Evil Village Gold Edition<\/em> adds both a new story as well as a highly anticipated Third-Person Mode to 2021 release Resident Evil Village<\/em> (Village<\/em>, below), a title which has sold 6.1 million*1<\/sup> units worldwide. At the same time as this release, Capcom will launch Resident Evil Re:Verse<\/em>, an online multiplayer action game that will be provided free to players who purchased either Village<\/em> or Resident Evil Village Gold Edition<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n

Moreover, in addition to Capcom bringing Village<\/em> to PlayStation® VR2, it will also be released for the Apple Mac*2<\/sup>. Going forward, Capcom will further grow sales channels and enhance brand value by proactively pursuing expansion in line with its multiplatform strategy.<\/p>\n\n
