Capcom Co., Ltd. (Capcom) has announced Monster Hunter World: Iceborne<\/em><\/span>, a massive expansion for Monster Hunter: World<\/em><\/span>. The new content will be available for download in autumn 2019 for Playstation®<\/sub>4 and Xbox One. Details regarding the PC release will be shared in future announcements.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Monster Hunter<\/em> series consists of hunting action games that pit players against giant monsters in a beautiful natural environment. The series has sparked a social phenomenon known as the "Monster Hunter Craze" by introducing a new kind of communication style for players through cooperative play focused on hunting monsters with their friends. Since the first Monster Hunter<\/em> title made its debut 14 years ago in 2004, the series has attracted a dedicated fan base, and overall grown into a mega-hit, with Monster Hunter: World<\/em><\/span>, the latest title in the series, shipping more than 10 million units, and cumulative sales of the series exceeding 52 million units as of September 30, 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne<\/em><\/span> will be a content-rich, premium expansion featuring new quest ranks, moves, locales, monsters and gear in addition to a full narrative experience that continues on from the ending of Monster Hunter: World<\/em><\/span>. The expansion, scheduled for release in autumn 2019, is currently in development and will maximize the cutting-edge technical expertise Capcom has refined over the course of the Monster Hunter<\/em> series.<\/p>\n\n\n
